Lynch Avenue Update: Environmental Solutions was on site this week spreading and compacting topsoil in the terraces and behind the sidewalks. They are planning to work Monday (9/26/22) to finish any more topsoil, and are planning to spread grass seed on Tuesday (9/27/22). MCC is scheduled to begin fine grading on Monday (9/26/22) with paving to take place on Thursday (9/29/22).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Plan Commission of the Village of Denmark, Brown County Wisconsin, on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 4:30 p.m. at the Denmark Village Hall, 118 East Main Street, Denmark at which time the Plan Commission will hear public comments on the Repeal and Recreation of the Village Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 315 Of the Village of Denmark Municipal Code.

 

The Zoning Ordinance regulated the use of land and divides the Village into several different zoning districts, as represented on the Village of Denmark Zoning Map. The Village undertook the effort to repeal and reenact the ordinance for several reasons.

 

  • To address areas of noncompliance with state and federal law
  • To excise obsolete, inconsistent, and redundant language
  • To rectify internal conflicts and inconsistencies
  • To modernize the document to reflect the desires of the Denmark community and accommodate 21st century land use standards

 

The ‘Pre-Public Hearing Draft Zoning Ordinance’ is available for public inspection at the Village Hall and on the Village of Denmark website located at https://denmark-wi.org/. Written testimony may be submitted to:  Village of Denmark Plan Commission, Attn:  Village Clerk, PO Box 310, Denmark, WI  54208, or emailed to the Village Clerk at [email protected] by noon on the day of the Public Hearing.

 

All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard. Testimony may be provided in writing or in person.
