The Village of Denmark is seeking a Seasonal Wading Pool Attendant / Public Works Assistant that can also serve as an occasional assistant in the public works department. 

Hours are Monday through Friday from the beginning of June through the end of August.  Approximately 20-40 hours per week.  Pay starts at $13.00 per hour.  This is a weather dependent job.

Duties:  Primary responsibility is monitoring the pool facilities for potential hazards or unsafe conditions, providing first aid to patrons, custodial duties in maintaining the pool facilities, and public relations. 

This position also helps in the public works department when the pool is not open.  The work typically consists of a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, planting flowers, pulling weeds, spreading mulch, trimming shrubs and cleaning the park areas. 

Minimum requirements:
• Must be able to pass a complete background check
• Must be physically able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must enjoy working outside and with the public
• First Aid and CPR certification (American Red Cross)

Crossing Guards Needed for the 2023-2024 School Year

The Village of Denmark seeks to hire School Crossing Guards to work under the supervision of the Village Directed Enforcement Officers (D.E.O.’s). Must be able to communicate effectively with children, parents, and drivers, ensure that children cross the street properly and safely. Must be able to stand for the entire shift and to tolerate exposure to all types of weather conditions.

Qualifications

High School diploma (or GED). Must be available to work Monday through Friday, during the school year. Hours are 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. and
3 p.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
